One Dead After Jessamine County Explosion
Two people were injured, one fatally, after an explosion in Jessamine County.
According to police, the explosion occurred on Brannon Meadow Way during a welding project on a dump truck. Two people experienced burn injuries and both were taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment. Police reported that James Padgett (31) eventually died of his injuries. The other unidentified victim was burned on the lower half of their body and is still receiving treatment.
