Man Killed After Garbage Truck Strikes RV on Side of the Road

Police reported a garbage truck hit an RV on Interstate 84 recently near Mt. Cobb. The RV was stationary on the shoulder of the road on the westbound side. Floyd Welborn (82) of North Carolina was killed in the crash. Three other people, including the driver of the garbage truck, were all taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The crash resulted in the closure of the highway for approximately nine hours.
