Have You Been Hurt in a Motorcycle Crash?

Whether you’re the driver of the bike or you collide with a bike, there are several things you need to know.

Following a crash, if health permits, stay at the scene and gather information from everyone involved. This includes:

  • Drivers’ names
  • Drivers’ license information
  • Vehicles’ license plates
  • Witness information
  • Photographs of the scene

How Do You Know You Need an Attorney After a Crash?

It doesn’t matter if you’re driving a motorcycle or a car or truck, you need to contact an attorney after you’ve been hurt in a crash.

Lawyers with experience with motorcycle crashes will examine a variety of factors, including:

  • How the bikes involved handle
  • Whether the bikes have proper braking
  • Tar snakes
  • Tank Slapping
  • Speed
  • Pavement and road conditions

Should I Follow a Claim?

You won’t know whether or not to file a legal claim after an accident without speaking to an attorney. Even an accident that results in only minor injuries or damage to your vehicle might warrant a claim.

The only way you’ll recover losses from other parties is to file a claim. In many cases, you won’t even need to file a lawsuit or go to court. Many vehicle accidents are settled outside of the courtroom. But it’s important to seek the advice and support of an experienced attorney. There is no way to know what your case is worth until you consult with an attorney.
