Why are ATVs So Dangerous?
Accidents involving all-terrain vehicles (ATV) can be very dangerous, for a number of reasons. Some of the most common causes of accidents include:
Poor Control
Many ATVs are unstable, especially when traveling at high speeds. If you don’t have good steering and braking control, you may lose control of the vehicle in a turn or on an incline, which could result in an accident.
Recklessness
Often, ATV drivers will take risks that they shouldn’t take, such as going too fast around corners or through rough terrain. This can easily cause accidents if the driver loses control or hits an obstacle.
Lack of Training and/or Experience
Many people who ride ATVs have never had any formal training on how to operate them safely. This lack of knowledge can lead to serious accidents, especially if the rider is not familiar with the basic controls of the vehicle.
Alcohol
Alcohol is a major contributing factor in many ATV accidents. Never drink and drive an ATV – it’s simply not worth the risk.
Have You or a Loved One Been Involved in an ATV Accident?

Once you’ve seen a doctor and been cleared (or treated) for your injuries, you can start thinking about what to do next. If the accident was caused by someone else’s negligence, you may be able to file a personal injury claim against them to recover damages.
