Adair County Crash

Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred recently in Columbia. The incident involved two vehicles and occurred around 11 am on Bridgewater Rd., in Adair County.

According to the initial investigation, Jessica Wilkinson, 28, of Columbia, was driving a 2019 Chrysler Van northbound on Bridgewater Rd. She crossed into the southbound lane where her vehicle collided head on with a 2003 Ford Mustang.

The driver of the Mustang was a 16-year-old from Columbia. Investigators believe it was impossible for the teen to avoid the crash because of the position of the vehicles on the hillcrest.

Wilkinson, another passenger in the vehicle, Derek Wilkson, and a three-year-old passenger received minor injuries.

The Mustang’s driver and another juvenile passenger were taken to a nearby hospital. A third juvenile in the backseat was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision continues to be investigated Kentucky state law enforcement officials including Adair County Sheriff Department, Adair County Rescue Squad, Adair County Fire and EMS.

If you or a loved one has been involved in a car crash, you could be entitled to compensation. Money could be available for medical costs including:

Speak to an Attorney to Discuss Your Case

An attorney’s goal is to minimize the damage caused in a person’s life by a collision. The more compensation they receive the less they have to worry about financially.

It’s important to speak to an attorney as soon as possible. There are legal statutes of limitations that only allow you to file a lawsuit for a certain amount of time after an accident. Even if you don’t believe you have a case, it’s important to speak to an attorney. They can assess your situation and help you determine how to proceed.

At Heavens Law, we’ve worked with many vehicle accident victims and helped them recover compensation for their injuries. For more information or to discuss your situation, contact Heavens Law at 484-467-8254. All phone consultations are free and confidential, with no obligation beyond that.
