Two Dead and One Injured in Charleston Crash

Two people recently died and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-77 South.

According to Charleston Police, Edriene Sutton, 24, of Charleston, was transported to CAMC to receive medical treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.

The passenger in Sutton’s vehicle included Brittany Weldon, 27, of Charleston. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash was Joshua Robinson, 37, of Charleston. Robinson was also pronounced dead at the scene.

According to emergency dispatch operators, the accident occurred around 3 am near the Leon Sullivan exist.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Charleston police.
