Driver Involved in Tractor-Trailer Accident Suffers Non-Life Threatening Injuries

According to Cumberland, Maryland Police, the driver of a vehicle that recently drove under a tractor trailer was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of Howard and South Mechanic Streets.

West Virginia driver Douglas Dorsey was attempting a right-hand turn from Howard onto South Mechanic when he wedged his car partially under the truck’s trailer. Dorsey was transported to UPMC Western Maryland following the incident.

As a result of the accident, Dorsey will be charged with failing to yield the right of way.

Nobody else was injured in the accident. It resulted in an hour-long closure of the intersection for a crash site investigation.
